“Harvested today, in the shop tomorrow” is one of The Greenery’s promises. Artwork Connect (AWC) supports the department responsible for the purchase and distribution of all packing materials the associated growers and packaging companies of The Greenery need every day for packing vegetables, fruit and mushrooms. To be able to serve the purchasers well, you want to be able to act fast. A database for quick searching and especially finding is indispensable.
All products have to be packed, from trays to boxes, and must have the proper, up-to-date information. Product information may also change often and fast. An efficient database is important to make quick responses to these changes possible. As the classic data system had become obsolete and included redundant information, an update was needed.
The setup of AWC is based on profound analysis for the purpose of working fast and enjoyably. Throughout the process, the wishes of users who work with Artwork Connect on a daily basis, the purchasers and planners of The Greenery, were taken into account. The existing data, the information needed in the future, and the information no longer necessary were closely looked at.
The analysis brought to light that old data was compromised by restrictions from the system and that little help was provided with respect to finding data. The existing information has been cleaned up, categorised, enriched with additional information, and validated before being released for future use. A careful approach that has enhanced the data quality.
Getting started quickly
We provide a clear plan of approach throughout the process. In this plan, the focus is on the process and the users. The users are trained, and after the system has been commissioned, they can contact the service desk if they have any questions.
