Why Artwork Connect?
So many emails about one label was impossible to keep track of with the speed at which Group of Butchers works. The risk of using the wrong PDF was too big. By working with AWC, you can view the status immediately as well as whose turn it is to act. Additionally, the mailbox has become a lot easier to work with. Group of Butchers has opted for AWC Professional, because it also supports the process and the communication.
What does Artwork Connect mean to the internal organisation?

In Group of Butchers, several departments are now working together: Sales, Marketing, Quality, Specification Management, the Management Office, and the respective production locations. Nobody has their own Excel list on a central server that is inaccessible to others. A number of forms could be eliminated, as the content of these could be integrated with the process in AWC, saving double work.
Another major benefit is the fact that one is no longer dependent on others. They manage the database themselves, and therefore do not need to retrieve artworks from customers or suppliers. Especially in a time in which raw materials are scarce and the pace needs to remain high, this flexibility is extremely valuable.
To keep up with the new influx of products and the related packing, a streamlined working method is required. Group of Butchers works with a very short lead time, which begins with being able to save artworks with ease, which everybody can access quickly. In addition, artworks must be findable, and they must be traceable to the related products. When AWC was implemented for Group of Butchers, easy search and find and the use of metadata was taken into account, with a smaller chance of error as a result.
Together with Artwork Connect, the artwork process was analysed. The process support built in the system is based on this analysis. With the process in Artwork Connect, all steps are put in the right order, checks are conducted, and approvals recorded.

Group of Butchers has been working with Artwork Connect for several years now. Collaboration in a single application is great and allows you to see what happened during your absence. You can see the status and take action if you have to. If something is incomplete, you can easily see it soon. Colleagues can also take over your work without any difficulty while you are on holiday. Our uniform working method has the benefit that an alternative route – communicating by email – is not accepted. Via Artwork Connect is faster, after all.
